Herbarium

The Northern Territory Herbarium offers a plant identification service. The service is free to members of the public or organisations seeking identifications for non-commercial purposes.

Charges

Charges apply for the provision of data and identification of specimens, where information is to be used for commercial purposes.

A charge of $150 plus GST per hour, with a minimum of one hour work applying to all requests.

Students

For students enrolled in a biological science program or equivalent, at a university or other educational facility, arrangements can be made with the Curator to use the Reference set as an aid to identifying their plant specimens.
